This one of a kind kimono is made from a vintage kinsha (light-weight silk crepe) kimono. The kimono features katazome (resist dyeing) and embroidery at the hem along with a subtle brocade fan pattern and a single mon (family crest) of the Fujiwara clan. I have taken inspiration from the katazome and the metallic fans and embellished over stains and along the collar with tulle encased mother of pearl shells, crystals and beads. I have also added a grey silk lining and in-seam pockets.
